Couples Groups
As couples progress in their recovery, the ongoing support and friendships with other couples on the journey becomes a valuable part of the process. Couples groups provide a setting in which these relationships can develop. These groups typically meet once a month with couples interacting outside of the group meetings. All groups are led my marriage and family counselors who specialize in sexual addiction treatment. Marriages need “check-ups” and these groups provide a place for ongoing maintenance of marital recovery.

Groups
Couples groups meet at Faithful and True Atlanta once a month. Couples interact during the month between meetings. These groups are made up of couples who have done individual therapy, group therapy, or have attended a couples retreat, or equivalent. Groups meet monthly for 6 months. These groups provide coaching, support, and activities that address the issues couples face on a daily basis.
Sexual Addiction, Marriage and Community
Couples on the journey need the support of other couples. Growth and healing always take place in a safe community. Faithful and True Atlanta provides such a setting at the weekend retreats. Read some of the comments from participants below.
Additional Intensives from Faithful and True Marriages Therapists
Richard Blankenship and Sonya Kennedy work together providing intensive therapy for couples in recovery from affairs and sexual addiction. Sexual addiction treatment resources are not readily available in all locations. Or, couples may wish to follow up after one of the Faithful and True Atlanta weekends. Different options are available for intensive therapy. Couples can travel to Atlanta, Georgia. Richard and Sonya can also travel to your city. The length of the intensives can range from 8-12 hours over a period of 2-3 days. Longer intensives can also be arranged. Fees are based on the number of hours and expenses involved. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule an intensive. For more information, contact us at 770-457-3028. Couples intensives are valuable for those who have been in recovery for a long time and feel “stuck” in their journey. They are also appropriate for couples beginning the journey and needing direction and development of recovery plans. Some couples simply desire more focused marriage work to improve their relationship.
